With the goal of helping to develop talent for the financial and technology industries, Bantotal and the Instituto Superior Tecnológico CEDHI Nueva Arequipa launched a pilot project offering specialized training and job placement for young people in Arequipa, Peru.
The first phase is aimed at eight graduates of the Business Administration program, who will participate in two months of training and paid practical experience related to the operations and needs of the financial sector.
The program aims to supplement participants’ academic training with knowledge of the financial sector, its key processes, and the tools needed to thrive in an industry that continues to evolve. At the same time, it seeks to provide them with practical experience that will help strengthen their professional skills and improve their prospects for entering the workforce.
The project stems from needs identified in collaboration with Bantotal’s clients, with the aim of identifying the profiles and positions that offer the greatest opportunities for employment in financial institutions and tailoring training to meet those needs. We start from a clear conviction: talent development requires connecting education with the needs of the industry. In this context, Bantotal seeks to act as a bridge between educational institutions and the financial sector, sharing its experience and providing young people with knowledge and tools relevant to the realities of the market.
“We are in a unique position to align our clients’ interests with the need for employment,” said Eugenia de Larrobla, Executive Director of Bantotal.
The selection of CEDHI Nueva Arequipa to carry out this initial pilot program is based on its track record in providing technical and personal training to young people and its commitment to creating development opportunities for its students. The goal of this first phase is to enable participants to gain access to job opportunities within organizations in the financial sector. Based on the results and lessons learned, Bantotal will evaluate the model’s progress and the possibility of replicating this initiative in other Latin American countries.
This initiative reflects our commitment to the communities where we operate and to developing new capabilities for the financial and technology sectors, strengthening the link between education and industry and helping to create new opportunities for professional growth in the region.
